Cutting & forming

Cut to 30 mm, positioned to 0.05 mm.

Fibre laser up to 4000 W handles plate to 30 mm, with positioning precision of 0.05 mm. Tube laser takes sections to Ø254 × 6000 mm, so frame members are cut and coped before they reach the welding bay.

Welding & assembly

8 AWS welders and a Certified Welding Inspector.

Nine welding platforms run MIG, TIG and spot welding for frames, chassis and sub-assemblies. Procedures are qualified to AWS D1.1 and D1.3, and an in-house CWI signs off the work — so weld quality is inspected here, not argued about after delivery.

Finishing

The largest automated coating oven in Penang.

Powder coating and wet paint are done in-house, in the largest automated coating oven in Penang — long enough for products up to 9 m. Large frames and enclosures are finished in one piece instead of being split, coated separately and joined afterwards.

Parts are measured against spec in a metrology room holding 120 instruments — verified, not assumed.
